This model Go-Ped is the original. It has been around for 15 years, and hasn't changed much. As time has gone on, minor modifications in the frame, deck, wheels, etc have corrected virtually all problems/bugs in the design. The result is a masterpiece of both fun and practicality that has been shown to be incredibly reliable. The Sport model is direct drive, meaning the drive spindle (an extension off the engine crankshaft) is in direct contact with the rear wheel. This brilliantly simple design allows for many advantages - primarily ease of use and simplicity. There is no risk of a chain breaking and disintegrating, because there is no chain. As the engine runs, the tire spins, thus giving the Sport Go-Ped??design that allows for maximum enjoyment and years of problem-free operation. The engine is a 22.5cc Zenoah Komatsu 2-stroke that has been proven to be extremely reliable. It gets over 100mpg, and conforms to federal emission standards. The Sport Go-Ped is great for cruising the neighborhood, short commutes, recreation, and much more.
